Hammerfest Municipality is made up of three main islands. Kvaløya, where the town of Hammerfest is located, is the urban one with sporting events, concerts and festivals, but it also has small fishing villages such as Forsøl and nature.
Sørøya is the green island of the north, with beautiful sandy beaches. Seiland is the alpine one, with a magnificent national park and glaciers.
Also the mainland areas of Kvalsund and Skaidi are worth exploring and offer plenty of outdoor opportunities, from mountainbiking and hiking in summer to skiing and snowmobile riding in winter.
